The Bankruptcy, Commercial and Banking Law Committee is a substantive Committee of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York. This Committee is designed to provide the members of the Association with current substantive and procedural developments in these areas of the law, with an emphasis on the particular impact of certain regulatory laws on women both as consumers and as lawyers.

This Committee works closely with the Legislative Committee to enable it to comment on proposed legislation in these areas.

The Chair(s) of this Committee should hold meetings as needed throughout the fiscal year, and should be available to present both written and oral reports to the Board of Directors as necessary to inform the Board of its activities. The Committee should work with the Continuing Legal Education Committee (CLE) to provide workshops, seminars or written materials on topics of interest or concern to the membership in this area.
