MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER
Hello all from the Queens County Womens Bar Association. Please join us again this year in the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” Walk. We are pleased to once again support the American Cancer Society in its annual effort to raise awarenes about Breast Cancer, for both women and men, and to help raise funds to work towards a cure!
Please click here or follow the link at the bottom of this page for information on how to join “TEAM QCWBA” and donate.
MEETING PLACE & TIME– Team QCWBA plans to gather by the “Pool of Industry”, in the main Event gathering area. There are 2 huge flagpoles, we’ll meet by the one closest to the “Survivor Tent”, same as last year. The Walk starts at 10am. Please be there by 9 or so. There is water provided along the Walk, food not so much. Please bring snacks or whatever else you need to have a safe day.
WEATHER– We try to make this a rain or shine event, within reason of course. The forecast looks mild so far but PLEASE PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION TO THE WEATHER. It has been a bit chilly in years past, please plan accordingly.
PARKING– The main ACS map/link gives general parking info but parking is always a bit of an issue. We will send out parking suggestions as we get closer to the event.
SHIRTS –a Limited Number of TEAM QCWBA shirts are available to our early birds. If you have walked in years past, please feel free to “recycle” that year’s Shirt. Good for the environment and everyone appreciates good Retro fashion.
Please remind your friends and supporters that there is no limit on
donation time & they can send their contributions at any time, even after the Walk day.
Thanks to everyone. Please sign up and join us. We hope to see you Sunday.
