Thus\, there are historic health inequities for women in the current healthcare system. Although the overall health of American women has improved over the past few decades\, not all women have benefitted equally. Many minority women continue to lag behind white women in a number of areas\, including quality of care\, access to care\, timeliness\, and outcomes. Although there have been improvements in minority women’s health\, we still have a lot of progress to make.
