DESCRIPTION:The Domestic Violence Committee\npresents a Program:\n \n The Danger Assessment Tool: How to Accurately Assess Lethality Risk for Clients Experiencing Domestic Violence \n\nSpeaker: Dr. Jacquelyn Campbell\, Ph.D\, MSN\, RN\, \nProfessor at John Hopkins Nursing School \n\nDr. Campbell is a nationally renowned scholar and expert on violence against women. In 1985\, Dr. Campbell developed the “Danger Assessment\,” a graded questionnaire that is among the first tools created to assess a woman’s risk of being killed by an abusive partner. The Assessment also gives the victim/survivor a greater awareness of their situation\, a tool to plan their own safety\, and a way for providers to give them more personalized help. The tool is now used widely by attorneys\, service providers\, law enforcement\, and others.
