SUMMARY:Critical Race Theory: Clarifying the Conversation
DESCRIPTION:UB education and law faculty to\nclarify and discuss critical race theory at virtual event\nCritical Race Theory: Clarifying the Conversation\nFriday\, February 25\, 2022\n2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.(EST) | via Zoom webinar\nRegister To Attend\nWhat is critical race theory? Why is it increasingly controversial? The University at Buffalo School of Law and Graduate School of Education will hold a virtual panel to clarify the conversation about the nature and history of race and racism in our nation and concerns about state legislation throughout the U.S. focused on critical race theory in education. \n“The real goal of this event is to help people understand that race and racism do impact society\, education\, and policies and procedures… There’s so much misunderstanding about what critical race theory is\, and there’s so much information that is purposefully designed to make people afraid to talk about this issue\,” said Raechele Pope\, GSE chief diversity officer and associate dean for faculty and student affairs. \nLearn more about the event and register
