Kelly A. Pressler, Recording Secretary, is an associate at Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP, located in Orange County, New York. As a member of the litigation team, Ms. Pressler focuses on general civil litigation and complex commercial litigation. She also handles municipal law, trusts and estates litigation as well as FINRA arbitrations. Ms. Pressler joined J&G after spending five years as a litigation associate in the New York City office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, where she handled complex securities and commercial litigation.

Ms. Pressler received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology magna cum laude in 2006 from Siena College in Loudonville, New York. She received her Juris Doctor degree magna cum laude in 2009 from Albany Law School in Albany, New York where she was on the Albany Law Review and was the winner of the Outstanding Clinical Student Award, Sponsler Teaching Fellow and Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition. She also interned at various District Attorneys’ offices throughout the capital region and spent two years assisting victims of domestic violence and their children in the Albany Law School Clinic and Justice Center.

Ms. Pressler is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of the State of New York. She is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Serving as Recording Secretary for 2015-2016, Ms. Pressler is a proud member of the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties. She will serve as Vice President for 2016-2017. Since 2015, Ms. Pressler has served on WBASNY’s Domestic Violence Committee. Ms. Pressler is the recipient of the 2016 Outstanding New Lawyer Award, as presented by the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties.

Ms. Pressler, her husband Mark, and their two children Madilyn and Ryan have recently moved back to Orange County from Rockland County and enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible.
