Kelly A. Pressler, Vice President, is an associate at Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP, located in Orange County, New York. As a member of the litigation team, Ms. Pressler focuses on general civil litigation and complex commercial litigation. She also handles municipal law, trusts and estates litigation, as well as FINRA arbitrations. Ms. Pressler joined J&G after spending five years as a litigation associate in the New York City office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, where she handled complex securities and commercial litigation.
Ms. Pressler received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology magna cum Laude in 2006 from Siena College in Loudonville, New York. She received her Juris Doctor degree magna cum laude in 2009 from Albany Law School in Albany, New York where she was on the Albany Law Review and was the winner of the Outstanding Clinical Student Award, Sponsler Teaching Fellow, and Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition. She also interned at various District Attorneys’ offices throughout the capital region and spent two years assisting victims of domestic violence and their children in the Albany Law School Clinic and Justice Center.
Ms. Pressler is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of the State of New York. She is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Ms. Pressler previously served as Recording Secretary for WBASNY for 2016-2017. She is a proud member of the Orange-Sullivan chapter of WBASNY, having previously served as recording secretary (2015-2016) and as Vice President (2016-2017). Ms. Pressler will serve as President Elect of the Orange-Sullivan Chapter for 2017-2018.
Ms. Pressler is the recipient of the 2017 Outstanding New Lawyer Award, as presented by the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties, and was named a 2016 Upstate New York Rising Star by Super Lawyers.
Ms. Pressler resides in Orange County with her husband Mark, and their three children Madilyn, Ryan, and Connor. They enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible.
