This CLE program is intended for attorneys in all areas of law including those who specialize in family and criminal law. It will provide a comprehensive overview of domestic violence issues, including what constitutes domestic violence; victim behaviors, including the impact of trauma on victims; the impact of domestic violence on children; recognizing the evidence based risk factors when domestic violence is involved; and introduction of the NYS Civil Attorney Guide to Risk and Lethality Factors in domestic violence cases.
