The WBASNY Domestic Violence Committee Presents the 2025-2026 Norejko Schwaeber Gift Drive
In recognition of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the holiday season of giving, WBASNY is embarking on the fourth year of its annual Gift Drive, to support domestic violence organizations and the victims they serve across New York State.
The “Norejko Schwaeber Gift Drive” is in honor of our former DV co-chairs Amanda Norejko and Lois Schwaeber, who were fierce warriors against domestic violence. Amanda Norejko passed away in August 2023 after a career of tirelessly helping victims, while serving as a WBASNY officer and NYWBA President. Amanda also co-founded this initiative and asked us to carry it forward. Lois Schwaeber passed away in June 2023, after decades supporting domestic violence survivors, while chairing WBASNY committees and as an active member of the Nassau chapter.
WBASNY members are encouraged to purchase gifts from the wishlists of domestic violence organizations across the state, in October through the holiday season and continuing throughout the year. Please find below a list of WBASNY chapter areas with a corresponding organization and their wishlist link.
