The Title IX/Education Committee is a substantive Committee of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York. It seeks to promote awareness and involvement in Title IX issues that affect the right to an education free of discrimination.
The Committee is focused on the currently evolving Title IX landscape and in particular, developments with the Office of Civil Rights’ Title IX regulations and their long-term implications. The Committee is also concerned with the implementation of Title IX in K-12. In furtherance of this goal, it will review legislative and non-legislative issues in this field.
The Committee welcomes those who have an interest or expertise in this area of law to serve as Committee members.
The Committee is interested in presenting CLEs, hosting speakers, and also collaborating with other Committees.
