The LGBTQIA+ Committee of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York is designed to provide a voice for the LGBTQIA+ Community to ensure equal access to the Courts and create a welcoming and affirming presence for LGBTQIA+ members of WBASNY.
The Committee works collaboratively with other WBASNY committees in several different ways. We bring LGBTQIA+ issues to the attention of the membership, comment on pending or proposed legislation pertaining to LGBTQIA+ issues, and seek appropriate opportunities to join amicus briefs in support of LGBTQIA+ legal rights.
The LGBTQIA+ committee believes in Equality and Justice for All — with No Exceptions.
