Jovia A. Radix-Seaborough, Vice President, serves as the Senior Vice President for Corporate & Legislation at Kasirer, LLC, where she advises clients across the company’s portfolios on a variety of legislative matters from monitoring and interpreting City Council legislation to advocating or opposing legislative initiatives.
Ms. Radix-Seaborough earned her Juris Doctorate from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law in Hempstead, New York and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2018. Prior to pursuing her Juris Doctorate, she served as the Brooklyn Regional Representative to Governor Andrew M. Cuomo. A native of Brooklyn, Ms. Radix-Seaborough received her Master’s in Public Administration, with distinction, from Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus and a BA in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Ms. Radix-Seaborough has served in various government and political positions, and has served her community on multiple levels of government. In addition, she assisted her family in the direction and management of a tutoring program facilitated by the Barbados Ex-Police Association. Ms. Radix-Seaborough also served as the Vice-President of the Thomas Jefferson Democratic Club Young Democrats for over a decade. Currently, she is the immediate past President of the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association, and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Brooklyn Bar Association and the Caribbean American Lawyers Association. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Ms. Radix-Seaborough was recognized by City & State as among the 2020 “Brooklyn Power 50″ and the 2021 “Brooklyn Power 100”, as well as among the 2021 “Telecommunications Power 50” , and was an honoree of the “Power of Diversity: Black 100”. She also was recently featured in Crain’s New York’s “Notable Black Leaders 2022”.
Ms. Radix-Seaborough is the daughter of the Hon. Sylvia Hinds-Radix and Dr. Joseph Radix. She is the eldest of three girls and the proud dog-mom of Bentley. She is married to the love of her life, Ray Seaborough.
