This program will provide guidance to attorneys who advise educational institutions on employee complaints of sexual misconduct that may fall under Title IX. With the many recent changes to the Title IX landscape, including to the definitions of sexual harassment and scope of Title IX, this session will provide an overview of which complaints must be handled under Title IX, how the Title IX process intersects with typical HR investigation processes in unionized and non-unionized environments, and provide practical tips for investigating and resolving these complaints as efficiently and effectively as possible.
