Hon. Diane Bull, (ret). Harris County, Texas

The intersection of child welfare and Substance Use Disorder, whether rural, suburban or urban may mean working with persons who are high risk/high need. This population can be challenging to work with. They require different approaches and skills.

This multi part class trains teams and service providers to use behavior modification skills via incentives, sanctions, and therapeutic responses in a highly effective manner. The classes are focused on research, role clarification, staffing and team approaches to challenging behaviors in cases. Videos show how to discuss cases and how to execute the plan in a Court setting. This is a class designed to make outcomes improve.

Attendees will learn research, approaches, and practice skills necessary to transfer the theory into practice. Interactive, engaging and skill focused, attendees will come away with tools to use every day. Videos, polls and interactive exercises reduce the zoom fatigue.
