WBASNY Applauds Governor Hochul’s Recent Ten Appointments to the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division

(New York, NY, Monday, July 31, 2023) – The Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (“WBASNY”) applauds Governor Kathy Hochul for her recent ten appointments to the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division. WBASNY commends the Governor for her commitment to diversifying and strengthening the judiciary, and for recognizing the importance of appointing exceptional judges who will uphold fairness and respect in their service to New Yorkers.

In response to the appointments, Governor Hochul expressed her pride in each of the ten distinguished judges and her confidence in their abilities to serve the people of New York State with honor and integrity. The Governor highlighted their collective decades of work experience and diverse perspectives as significant assets that will undoubtedly contribute to the continued excellence of the state’s judiciary.

WBASNY is particularly delighted to extend heartfelt congratulations to four esteemed members of our organization who have been appointed to the Appellate Division – Hon. Llinét Rosado, First Department; Hon. Kelly O’Neill Levy, First Department; Hon. Lourdes M. Ventura, Second Department; and Hon. Carl Landicino, Second Department. Their well-deserved appointments exemplify their commitment to excellence and invaluable legal community contributions. WBASNY recognizes the dedication and hard work displayed by these accomplished judges throughout their legal careers and is confident that they will continue to serve the state of New York with the utmost integrity and dedication.
