WBASNY Denounces Hamas’ Recent Terrorist Attacks

(New York, NY, Wednesday, October 18, 2023) – The Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, (“WBASNY”) denounces Hamas’ recent terrorist attacks. October 7, 2023, will forever be regarded as the day that Hamas terrorists, with unleashed savagery launched a premeditated attack against several boarder communities in Israel that many regard as being unprecedented in magnitude.

From that day forward, at the hands of Hamas, the world has witnessed a cascade of horrific events which includes extreme violence against women and children, kidnapping, rising death tolls, destruction of property and other unspeakable acts.

From that day forward, events have unfolded leaving the most vulnerable, our world’s children in Israel and our world’s children in Gaza devastated, alongside their respective communities.

WBASNY stands in solidarity with other bar associations, organizations and civil society. WBASNY denounces as repugnant and vile the recent terrorist attacks and urges the twin torches of truth and justice to shine on the various crimes against humanity that began on October 7, 2023 and are ongoing.

Recalling the Preamble to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, WBASNY stands in “recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family.” For the sake of all humanity, WBASNY stands.
